Handling extreme loads
The system is engineered to support exceptionally heavy load units, enabling the safe storage of materials that cannot be accommodated by conventional racking systems.
Heavy-duty pallet racking is a storage system engineered for extremely high load capacities, where conventional pallet racking solutions are no longer able to meet the required performance and safety standards. Modulblok heavy-duty pallet racking is specifically designed for the storage of very heavy load units, enabling structural configurations and load capacities beyond the limits of standard pallet racking systems. It is typically used for the storage of special pallets and industrial containers carrying high-mass materials such as moulds, coils, steel rolls and metal sheets, where the loads applied to each beam level and storage bay require advanced structural engineering. Unlike high-density accumulation systems, heavy-duty pallet racking maintains direct access to every load unit, allowing fast and controlled storage and retrieval operations, even when handling oversized or non-standard loads. Each structure is engineered on a project-specific basis, taking into account load characteristics, operating conditions and applicable regulatory requirements, becoming an integral part of the overall warehouse design. La struttura viene dimensionata caso per caso, in funzione delle caratteristiche del carico, delle condizioni operative e dei requisiti normativi, diventando parte integrante del progetto logistico complessivo.
Warehouse Engineering is Modulblok’s editorial platform dedicated to the industrial culture of modern intralogistics. A space for analysis and insight, it explores the transformations reshaping warehouse systems and the evolving role of logistics within industrial and distribution operations. Through technical articles, industry analysis and expert contributions, the magazine examines the technologies, operating models and engineering expertise that are redefining the design, management and performance of warehouse systems. The aim is to provide a structured perspective on the sector, connecting technological innovation with the principles of warehouse engineering and system design that shape the future of intralogistics.
