The safety and performance of a storage system depend not only on its design, but on how it is managed over time.
Usage, accidental impacts, operational changes, and regulatory updates alter the original conditions of the installation and require structured interventions. Modulblok’s Service division operates nationwide with a dedicated organization focused on the continuous management of installations: over 500 inspection visits per year, more than 200 repair interventions, and ongoing regulatory consulting and training activities for both warehouse operators and PRSES managers. An approach that integrates inspection, maintenance, regulatory compliance, and skills development, ensuring safety, conformity, and operational continuity over time.
Inspection Visits
Periodic racking inspections in accordance with standards
Racking safety requires regular inspections carried out by qualified personnel. Modulblok inspection visits are conducted in accordance with UNI EN 15635 and enable assessment of structural conditions, identification of damage, and definition of corrective and monitoring actions. Inspections include warehouse mapping, analysis of operating conditions, and risk classification, with the delivery of technical reports and operational recommendations.
Regulatory consulting
Applying standards effectively to operational contexts
Racking management is governed by regulations that define responsibilities, inspection requirements, and usage criteria. Modulblok supports companies in interpreting and applying standards such as Legislative Decree 81/2008, UNI EN 15629, and UNI EN 15635. This activity enables alignment of warehouse operations with regulatory requirements, the definition of consistent procedures, and the reduction of risks associated with the use and maintenance of structures.
Seismic Vulnerability
Structural assessment and compliance with current regulations
Existing racking systems must be assessed against seismic actions, particularly when not originally designed according to updated criteria. Modulblok conducts seismic vulnerability analyses in line with current standards (ref. EN 16681 and national guidelines). These assessments enable evaluation of structural behaviour, identification of critical issues, and definition of any required retrofit measures.
Spare parts management
Restoring structural conditions
Damage and wear can compromise racking safety. The spare parts management service enables intervention with compliant components and structured repair procedures, maintaining alignment with original design conditions. Activities include material supply, replacement interventions, and support for maintenance planning.
Training
Operational competence and regulatory responsibility
Warehouse safety also depends on operational management. Modulblok delivers training programs for operators and managers, including dedicated courses for the PRSES role in accordance with UNI EN 15635. Programs cover correct use of racking systems, damage management, and continuous updates on regulations and best practices.
